Mission
Our mission is to engage, excite, and educate as many people as possible, particularly young people, about biotechnology and its immense potential to heal the sick, feed the hungry, restore the environment, and fuel the economy.
Vision
Our vision is to capture the imagination of youth, to inspire the next generation to learn life science and biotechnology, and transform society’s expectations so that all citizens may appreciate the importance of biotechnology to society.
The vision is propelled by a strategy of no less than national, state, and local dimensions. Its coherent elements include federal science-education advocacy to policy audiences to set high expectations for scholastic achievement, state-level initiatives for teachers, students and citizens in all the states, creative outreach to students and adults directly, and an intense focus on recruiting into the field those who do not yet participate.
