sanofi-aventis International BioGENEius Challenge
SPONSORSHIP
High school students in the United States, Canada and Australia conduct biotechnology research projects under the guidance of industry mentors or teachers. Students compete at the local level and advance to their regional competition. Winning teams from regional competitions are brought to the annual BIO convention where a national panel of industry and community leaders judges their projects and awards cash prizes. At a plenary event of the Biotechnology Industry Organization International Convention a video clip of the student’s projects is shown, an executive from the named sponsoring company makes remarks, the regional finalists are honored on stage, and the winners are announced.
