Workforce Development and community colleges Initiative
The Biotechnology Institute launched the national Biotechnology Workforce Development and Community Colleges Initiative to create an awareness among employers that today’s community colleges are producing graduates with the hands-on skills needed for jobs in manufacturing and R & D, and alert community colleges to the current and future workforce needs of companies. By focusing on best practices and the hiring needs of companies, this program will foster dialog, partnerships, and action among the biotechnology industry, community colleges, and state policy makers.
