There's a wealth of information on the Web about the science of biotechnology. The following lists of Web resources are meant to serve as guide for sites of interest in biotechnology. Biotechnology Institute's Bioscience: Real Jobs, Real People Videotape
Follow four high school students as they visit companies on "Bioscience Career Day" to talk with individuals in a broad range of careers such as research, product development, manufacturing and management. (Length: 10 minutes, Level: 7th - 12th grade)

Biotechnology Institute's DNA and Genes Odyssey CD-ROM and Videotape
The CD-ROM contains animations and an extensive teacher's guide to introduce students to DNA and genes. The videotape provides classroom-ready copies of the "Gene Scene," a fun way to explore the location of DNA and the process of translation and transcription. Funding for the CD-ROM was received through the U.S. Department of Energy. (Level: 7th - 12th grade)

"Baccillus Thuringiensis: Sharing its Natural Talent with Crops" is a four-module curriculum prepared by the Office of Biotechnology at Iowa State University and published by ISU Extension for high school teachers or extension educators to use with grades 9-12 or adult audiences.
